Design

At Kemp Architecture, we offer professional design services in architecture and interior design. 

We believe the benefits of good design should be for everyone. This could be anything from small alterations, to an extension, or larger developments. 

The design process is a collaborative one, and we will discuss each aspect of the proposal with you as the design develops. The RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) publish key stages in the design process outlining recommended  objectives at each work stage which help you understand the issues to be addressed. However, we understand each project is unique and we can tailor our design services and the process to suit you. 



Following any initial discussions or feasibility studies, our design services would cover  sketch and developed design stages leading to planning applications where required. Depending on the initial discussions one or a number of options may be needed to explore those ideas further and can help you visualise your ideas with a digital model and an interactive design session. 

There are risks and opportunities in every project, during these design stages we identify these and weigh them against the core objectives to present the best solution. At times additional information will be required for planning applications, for example surveys and reports undertaken by other specialists such as Land surveyors, Ecologists, and Archaeologists, including advice from other consultants such as Civil Engineers for more detailed drainage and flood risk assessments, all of which we can advise on, arrange and coordinate.

Once the design is agreed we can submit the final design to the local authority and liaise with the planning officers to ensure there are no issues and the application runs smoothly.
